We review the Nokia N97 ahead of it's 2009 release.

The Nokia N97 is set to be Nokia's biggest selling mobile phone and we couldn't wait to get our hands on this amazing new handset. While we post our full review when the handset goes on sale in May, we take a look at the latest mini-computer from Nokia.

N97 Screen review - the first thing you notice about the N97 is the screen. At 3.5" it is around the same size as the rival iPhone screen.

The screen offers multi-touch capabilities including viewing the viewing the N97 screen in both landscape and portrait mode.

The N97 has been designed to be as scratch proof as possible. While it looks amazing, we would maybe recommend using a screen wipe or screen protector as our test model was full of fingerprints within 20 minutes of this review.

The touch screen takes a while to get used to, but once you master the pressure of the screen, you'll find mastering the N97 menus a joy. Of all the touch screen phones we have reviewed, we found this one to be up their with them.

Nokia N97 Qwerty Keypad - The Slide-out full qwerty pad gives traditional Nokia fans the ability to use a "real" keypad while giving business users and text fans the opportunity to type up emails or shoot out text messages quicker than you can say N 9 7. The keys are a little on the small side but once you get the feel of things you should be up and running in no time.

Nokia N97 Menus - there are several different menu's on the N97 depending on which way you look at it. There is the "widget" menus that cover the home screen offering weather alerts, news and social networking updates. Internally the phones menu's are similar to other N series phones.

Nokia N97 Camera - the 5 Mega pixel Carl Zeus lens has become a favourite on the recent Nokia Camera models. We found pictures to be among the best on any mobile phones and much better than the iPhone. The camera also has great video recording capabilities offering DVD quality playback and is simple to use. There is also a dedicated camera button on the side of the handset allowing photo happy N97 owners to be able to take quick snaps. We were happy with the results of the Nokia N97

Nokia N97 Internet Device - Nokia are claiming this is the best mobile internet device available and has been built for the internet. With 3G, the Nokia N97 will attempt to load pages faster than the iPhone with the help of additional software. Although with a full internet browser, we strongly recommend that you get an unlimited mobile internet bundle with your Free Nokia N97.
